I first got to know Steve at running events. I always admired how lovely it was that he took an interest in Fi's running and would always be there to support her and her friends. I will always treasure the 'flying feet' photos Steve captured of me. He was such a lovely kind and funny man and will be sadly missed by so many. One of the funniest memories I have of Steve is during lockdown when our bootcamp took part in the toilet roll challenge and in one of the out takes Steve is there, topless, driving round on his lawn mower with a chicken under his arm. I think he took great delight in chucking the loo roll at Fi at the wrong time😆 . Rest in peace Steve, I will always think of you when I'm at races. Sending strength to Fi and all the family. Steve had such a dry sense of humour. He always seemd to say something meaningful or funny. I always chuckle whenever I think of my murder mystery evening and he turned up in character as Monsieur Bertrand, sporting a toupe. I'm sure it was made especially for him, it fitted like a glove! Steve mapped out some great cycle training rides for London to Reading. There was usually a good breakfast at the end, or a cake stop - or both! He was always the leader, it seemed effortless to him, whereas I struggled to keep up & my hair would be stuck to my head with sweat whenever I took off my helmet. Steve often helped me out with my car, a real lifesaver! Thanks Steve, you'll be missed. RiP love Ange xx

My memories of Steve go back as far as us both starting work at Vincent’s , then going on a weeks holiday in his dark red mini, he had bald tyres so borrowed the wheels from my mini, and took me months to get them back 😂. We drove to Wales , poured with rain all the time so we turned back and headed for Taunton. Went to Hyde Park to listen to the Rolling Stones which was a free concert, and both slept through it somehow. So many good memories and happy times . Miss our chats at EBC &SND .
